Rooted in History, Sustained by the Land
The Fleming Ranch location has always been a special place valued for its beauty and resources. Before Europeans arrived in the area, the ranch was the summer home of the Cahuilla Indians.
In 1916, Judd Fleming was commissioned by his brother, T.J. Fleming, to find an outstanding property in all the Southern California mountains for a private mountain retreat. The beautiful Fleming Ranch is the outcome of that search and the hard work of the Fleming descendants, as well as the Tiso family.
Allan and Heidi Tiso, along with three of their 5 boys, now live on the 160 acres. They are the first human family to live here year-round in well over 100 years.
